It's been a quiet couple months, but the League's been busy planning for the fall. Greenfield's elections are coming up—the primary is weeks away on September 10—and there are other important dates as well to mark on your calendars. LWVFC Service Day: CT River Source to Sea Cleanup

Saturday, Sept. 28, 9:00am

The Source to Sea Cleanup is an annual trash cleanup of the Connecticut River system—rivers, streams, parks, boat launches, trails and more. Each fall, thousands of volunteers of all ages and abilities head out to places of their choice all along the four-state watershed (NH, VT, MA, CT) to clean the Connecticut River and its tributaries on foot or by boat. Join the LWVFC's group herewe'll be meeting at the Great Falls Discovery Center.

It's the LWVFC's third annual Civics Trivia Night, our biggest fundraiser of the year! New quizmasters, fun new questions, categories, and challenges, same rousing good time! Offerings include cash prizes, complimentary snacks, and a gift basket raffle.

What's more, this year we've been granted the amazing opportunity to participate in Hope & Olive's Free Soup & Games Night fundraisers! Your donations of baked goods to sell, and gift baskets to raffle for this night as well would be deeply appreciated, plus we'll need your help spreading the word for both events! 

Please contact Marge if you can donate a gift basket for a raffle.

Also needed are volunteers to assist at the events as well. We can't run a well-organized night without you. Let us know you'll be there and ready to help!
