Your Annual Fund Dollars at Work

Hi Greenfield HSA!

A few weeks ago, the HSA asked teachers for their amazon wishlists. You did not disappoint!

Our 6th graders get punches in a punch card for making good choices around school. At the end of each month, they "cash in" these punches to shop in our school store. They can even save up their punches from month-to-month if they'd like. Here is a picture of our most recent school store shopping day from January. As you can see, it is quite full, thanks to the amazon wishlist drive you held for us!

Sincerely,

6th Grade Team

Stephanie Atkins, 6th grade Science & ELA

Annie Croak, 6th grade Social Studies & ELA

Allison Frank, 6th grade Math

Bonnie Schmonsees, 6th grade Teacher Resident

Emily Scott, 6th grade Teacher Resident

Reminders From Our School Nurse

Illness:

There are a number of viruses going around; COVID-19 is one, but we also have a stomach bug and Strep going around. If your child complains of related symptoms, please take them seriously! Please get them checked out if their symptoms persist and/or Covid test them at home. Please remember that the school district policy is to keep your child home for a fever/vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours without medication. (This does not mean that if they're sent home at 11am, to send your child in at 11am the next day.) Please do not medicate your child to come to school; your child will be sharing their virus with their classmates and staff. Students may have 3 absences in a row excused, before they need a doctor's note to return to school.

Tip: Pediapops are a great way to help keep your child hydrated!

If your child will be absent from school, please email Wendy Gosfield, and your child's teacher(s). Include Nurse Michele, IF the absence is related to Covid, or a serious illness.

The Mobile Dentist is coming to Greenfield March 6 and 7. Please send in your completed forms asap if you wish to have your child treated by the Mobile Dentist. (Note: If your child has been treated by a dentist in the last 6 months, they will not qualify for an additional visit at this time.)

Reminders!

Health Updates/S865s are required for every student!

If your child is in K or 7th grade (or is new to the SDP), a physical and dental form is required.

Dental forms are also required for 3rd grade.

All forms may be found on the SDP website under Student Health Services. Please send them into school to the attention of the Nurse, or email them to Nurse Michele at [email protected].

Medication:

If your child requires medication such as an inhaler, Epipen or daily medication, please remember that per the SDP policy, students may not carry/bring this medication to school. It must be brought to the Health Room by an adult, in a labelled box from a pharmacy, with a completed MED1 form (by a doctor, also on the SDP website).
