Sad News for the Greenfield Community
It is with a heavy heart that we report the the sad news of the passing of one of our teachers. Patrick Sommer passed away on February 2, 2020 after a 2 year battle with cancer. Patrick was beloved in our community and will be missed. In his eleven years at Greenfield he touched many lives as our K-2 Autistic Support teacher and our upper grades Learning Support teacher. Patrick was eager to help all that needed his support. We will miss his smile, laugh and caring that were always present even in hard times.

The Auction is an incredible night - the food, drinks and of course the company are exceptional. But the Auction wouldn't be an Auction without the...auctioning! WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Greenfield Auction: To The Future
The proceeds from this year's auction will create a Technology Fund to support the purchase of Chromebooks and Smartboards to offset wear and tear and obsolescence, and provide enrichment opportunities in coding, robotics and computational thinking.
YOU can support Greenfield's Auction by
donating an item or soliciting donations from neighborhood businesses that you frequent.

Please review the available volunteer opportunities for this school year. Please sign up for an event you'd like to help with, and the chair of the event will reach out to share more details. We look forward to a successful 2019-2020 school year! |
Lunchtime Volunteers
The lunchroom is a busy space for our children. We are hoping to add some parent volunteers to the K-4 lunch periods in the cafeteria to ease some of the chaos and help the kids eat lunch quickly.
Please consider signing up for a lunch period to help. Please reach out to Reva Batheja Ruiz if you have any questions. Reminder: to volunteer your clearances must be on file in the front office.

Last Saturday, eight 6th and 7th graders competed in the Southeastern Pennsylvania First LEGO League Regional Championship. They prepared 3 separate presentations for judges, and built and programmed a robot to complete multiple challenges, all related to this year's theme - City Shaper. Congratulations to all team members for a job well done, and for being one of only five teams from Philadelphia to qualify for this event!
