Nature-Based Solutions Roadmap to Fight Climate Change

As the holidays descend, we hope you are enjoying quality time with family and friends! We’re thankful for ours plus our many hard working, ingenious colleagues who daily encourage and implement living architecture and nature-based solutions across the globe.

At the COP27 in Egypt, the Biden-Harris Administration released the Nature Based Solutions Roadmap, an outline of strategic recommendations to put America on a path that will unlock the full potential of nature-based solutions to address climate change, nature loss, and inequity. The Administration also made available the Nature-Based Solutions Resource Guide: Compendium of Federal Examples, Guidance, Resource Documents, Tools and Technical Assistance, a companion resource guide with examples of nature-based climate solutions and over 150 resources to spur action.

Green roofs are identified to, as we all know, address the urban heat island; heat stress; urban air pollution; stormwater and sewer overflow and costs; urban flooding; and water pollution from urban settings.
