Meet Ebony Austin, Events & Special Programs Director, Greenville Chamber


Ebony Austin is the Events & Special Programs Director for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. Responsibilities include but are not limited to directing all chamber sponsored events logistics, supporting all program managers by overseeing the execution of all event logistics and contract negotiations. Her responsibilities for special programs involve all small business initiatives and she supports the leadership development department, managing the day to day operations of the Greenville Chamber Young Professionals. With a career that spans across all business industries to include; Manufacturing, Real Estate, Social Services, and entrepreneurship, Ebony’s role at the Chamber is one that allows her to use all her tools in her tool bag. Ebony is a leader in her industry and was named one of the Event Experts by the National Association of Chamber Executives. Her passion for community shows through her philanthropy. Ebony connects with the non-profits that align with her personal mission, these organizations range from the United Way of Greenville County, United Negro College Fund, Just Today Women's Recovery and East North St. Academy. A native of New York City, mother of 4 and lifelong learner, Ebony finds that spending her free time with her family is most rewarding. A graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a degree in Business Administration and current third year student at Institute for Organization Management, Ebony enjoys being the crazy mom at her boys sporting events and sampling her daughter’s culinary baking creations.

What's your favorite thing about your current job?
I love that my job allows me to plan fun events to raise money and awareness for our homebound community!
