Celebrating 10 Years!
October 2020
Join our Anniversary Celebrations in October

The Brandywine Conservancy invites our partners and others to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Brandywine Creek Greenway by participating in two virtual events in October: "Experience the Brandywine" Photo Contest and the annual All Partners Meeting.

The "Experience the Brandywine" Photo Contest runs now through October 25, 2020.
Get outdoors and explore the parks, trails and places in the Greenway and send us the best photos of your adventures. Participation is free and prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. Click here for a complete list of rules and regulations, as well as instructions on how to submit the photos.

The Annual All Partners Meeting for the Brandywine Creek Greenway will be held virtually on Thursday, October 29 and this year it will take on a new twist. At 6 p.m. we will provide a brief celebratory presentation on the Greenway and will announce the winners of the photo contest. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., we will host a virtual beer and jerky tasting experience featuring Victory Brewing Company and Righteous Felon Jerky Cartel. Click here for more information and to register for this celebratory event.

If you are not interested in joining the beer and jerky tasting experience, free tickets to the first half hour of remarks and the celebratory presentation can be reserved by contacting Sheila Fleming at sfleming@brandywine.org.
Mini-Grant Deadline Extended to October 15
All Pennsylvania partners are encouraged to submit project proposals for the first Brandywine Creek Greenway Mini-Grant program. The deadline has been extended to provide applicants with additional time to fine-tune their proposals.

Please visit the BCG Mini-Grant website for
more information and to download the
application materials.

We would be happy to hear from you to fine-tune project ideas or to answer any questions about the application. Contact Meredith Mayer or Sheila Fleming for more information.
Hiking Through History Map Now Available
The Brandywine Conservancy is thrilled to announce its release of Hiking through History, a new informative map that highlights our region’s rich history with the American Revolutionary War, overlapping with the area’s many cultural, recreational and natural attractions. Hiking through History is a unique tool to experience the recreational opportunities in the Brandywine and Delaware Valley regions, while reliving the “boots on the ground” history of the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777 and enjoying the preserved landscapes that represent an important part of American history.
Free copies of the map can be picked up inside the Brandywine River Museum of Art’s main lobby entrance in Chadds Ford during normal hours of operation. A PDF download of the map, as well as a link to an interactive online version, can also be found on the Brandywine Conservancy website.
