Winter snowy road in forest
Season's Greetings!
Thank you for your continued support. From the entire Melink Family, please accept our sincerest gratitude. During this time of reflection, I am humbled to share some of our 2019 accomplishments:
  • We hired nearly 40 industry professionals to join us in our mission to change the world, one building at a time, for the benefit of future generations.
  • Our Testing & Balancing business served more customers and commercial buildings than ever before.
  • Intelli-Hood®  has successfully expanded to many new markets around the world. Saving energy is a global issue, and we're proud to be doing our part.
  • We launched a new product, PositiV®: a standalone system that monitors building pressure and health.
  • Our team installed more than 30 Megawatts of solar PV, generating enough electricity to power 30,000 homes.
  • We completed our first year as an employee-owned company.
  • A group of 10 employees have aligned with SonLight Power. In May 2020, they will embark on a mission trip to Honduras to install solar in communities without access to electricity.
  • And last but certainly not least, we constructed one of the world's greenest buildings, HQ2. Its grand opening will be celebrated in 2020. If you'd like a tour, please let us know!
My holiday wish for all of our customers, friends, and family is a season full of peace, homes filled with joy, and a great place to work built on a foundation of passion and purpose.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays,

Craig Davis

Melink Portal Update
Bryan Miller

Over the past several months, several updates to the Melink Portal have been rolled out. For those of you who haven't used it yet, the Melink Portal is a way to interface with your Melink products. Currently, Intelli-Hood® and PositiV® are accessible via the portal; in 2020, we aim to allow T&B customers to access data as well.

While most of the new updates focus on the PositiV® interface, some improve the overall experience for everyone - such as having sites open in a new tab and being able to automatically filter products and types from the dashboard page.  Some of the new features on the PositiV® interface include trending dew point, the ability to show and hide different metrics, being able to download raw data between a specified range, and more.

If you have any requests or questions, please reach out and let us know. Our team is continually making new updates to improve your experience!
Company Headquarters Update
A message from Steve Melink

Melink HQ2 has its final inspection in December, and if all goes well, Solar & Geo will move in the first week of January 2020. Cleaners are vacuuming, mopping, and dusting as I write this to get the building in tip-top shape.
Since all my previous newsletter photos have been from the outside, I thought you might like to get a sneak peak of the inside. The main things to notice are the abundant natural light, the natural earth-tone colors, the open ceiling with "clouds," and - though you can't see this part - the standing desks.
The lights have an auto-dimming system, and the windows have auto-shade controls. You can also see an open stairwell, which has a skylight above it. The second floor will not be finished until we need the additional space. It is also possible the second floor will be leased out to another sustainability-minded company.

In the background you can see some wood-paneled walls. This is 200-year-old Hemlock from an old Thomas Edison factory in Wisconsin. They used to make phonographs at this factory. Anyway, the wood has been salvaged and repurposed for another great application: one of the greenest buildings in the world. We will call this the Edison Room.
It is also worth mentioning that Melink is donating space on the first floor to SonLight Power (SLP). SLP and its Director Kevin Sasson have long been partners with us, and this is our way of giving back to a great non-profit organization.
