Here is a bird's eye view of our crane lifting a customer's heavy block of tool steel. It uses a large, strong magnet that enables our guys to pick up very heavy blocks of steel safely and easily. We can then place the material precisely where it needs to be on the bed of the machine. It's critical to be able to locate the work piece exactly where it's needed to be for the datums on the print to be aligned perfectly. Prior to the crane installation, the operators had to pretty much muscle the heavy block up into the bed and the risk of a crushed finger was always there. Working smart beats working hard any time!
