Dear Katerina,
πCan you believe it's almost the end of October? With fall comes the annual time changeβ°, and managing meetings across time zones can be a bit tricky. But don't worry, we're here to help!
On Sunday, October 29, Ukraine and most European countries will turn their clocks back 1 hour. Meanwhile, in the US (except for Arizona and Hawaii) and most countries in North, Central, and South America, the time change will happen on November 5.
This means that for one week, you and your volunteer may have a one-hour difference between your usual meeting times. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your meetings and remind your volunteer.
Now, you might be wondering how these time changes will affect your scheduled sessions in the ENGin platform. The good news is, you don't need to worry about it. The platform will automatically display the correct time in your account, taking into consideration the time change.
πHere's an example to make it clear:
Let's say you and your volunteer usually meet at 10 AM EDT/ 5 PM Kyiv time on Thursdays.
During the week between October 29th and November 5th, there are two ways to proceed:
1) You can keep your time at 5 PM Kyiv, and your volunteer will join the meeting at 11 AM EDT.
2) Your volunteer can keep their time at 10 AM EDT, and you will join at 4 PM Kyiv.
Please, decide together!
After November 5, you will return to having the same time difference between each other as before.
If you're unsure about the time difference, you can always use the time converter.
Thank you for your dedication and understanding as we navigate these time changes together.
Warmest regards,
Margarita
