In this month's Newsletter, we're sharing a new video from American Wire EDM showing the machine cutting process. We're also highlighting a new staff member, and we've included a great article via Thomas Industry about "California Police Force adds Robots for Patrols" We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July. Enjoy the Newsletter!
Mitsubishi MV-1200 R
Versatile Wire EDM Machining Capabilities
The Mitsubishi MV-1200 R is designed for wire EDM cutting of a diverse array of products, from simple machine parts to complex, high-accuracy geometries like injection molding dies and tooling. The MV-1200 R features high-efficiency servo amplifiers and linear shaft motors (LSMs) to reduce energy consumption with no loss of power.

The MV-1200 R uses an enhanced processing surface, an optimized wire-guide structure, and a highly efficient dielectric fluid supply to increase processing speeds. A more robust processing table helps maintain high accuracy. This EDM system can effectively machine workpieces as thick as 100mm.

Huntington Beach Police Departments New Recruit
Technology innovations are flourishing nowadays, but let’s be honest: they’re not always being used for the most important  tasks . As long as you have two working legs, you can get your own beer.

On the other end of this is finding applications for robots that can assist where we, as a society, need it most – and one of those is actually within police work. According to a recent report by NPR, officers are retiring faster than they can be replaced and, nationwide, “the total number of working sworn officers has fallen by about 23,000” in the last five years.

One local police department has recently added an officer to its ranks who will be tasked with traditional patrol duties and his name is Robocop … and the similarities are striking.

We're here to help you with your next project. If there are ideas, topics, trends, information etc. you'd like us to cover in these newsletters, let us know - we want to hear from you. Stay tuned for our August newsletter.
