Alumni Spotlight
Jonathan Egger ’06 and Ivy (Cohen) Egger ’07 met nearly 20 years ago at their Millersville University freshman convocation in 2002. In Jonathan’s words, the rest was history. They dated for about seven years before finally getting married on the “triple ten” (10/10/2010). Jonathan and Ivy’s story is an example that the simplest of choices can be incredibly powerful.

You can read their story here.

Join Millersville University in Celebrating
10 years of Breast-A-Ville - Take Three!

October 5, 2022
On October 5, 2022 Millersville University will hold the 10th annual Breast-A-Ville Take Three event on the promenade outside of the Student Memorial Center. Due to Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021, we were unable to give the 10th Annual Breast-A-Ville Event the celebration it deserved, and so we decided to make a third attempt in 2022! Since the inaugural year in 2011, Breast-A-Ville has engaged students and the Millersville community in informative and fun activities to increase awareness about breast health and breast cancer. Local health agencies and experts come from the surrounding area to serve as exhibitors at the event.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Help Volunteer at the 10th Annual Breast-a-Ville on October 5, 2022. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help with set up/tear down and with games! Invite your MU friends to come visit our event to find out more important information about breast health!

If you are interested in helping out, you may contact Rachel Gray at Rachel.gray@millersville.edu

Fiat Lux Society Celebration Honors New Inductees
A special induction ceremony celebration of the Fiat Lux Society was recently held at Millersville University in August to honor new inductees of the giving society, including Mrs. Nancy C. Adams ’73 & Mr. W. Gary Adams, Ms. Karen Ashkar Murley ’63, and Mr. Steven R. Pomponi ’89 & Ms. Lynn A. Pomponi ’91. The Fiat Lux Society recognizes the exceptional contributions and leadership of donors of transformational gifts and pledges of $1 million or more, and the giving society name is inspired by the Latin phrase “Fiat Lux,” which is translated as “let there be light,” and by the historic stained glass window featuring that phrase in Biemesderfer Executive Center. The tremendous generosity of Fiat Lux Society members makes an extraordinary impact that will benefit students for generations and creates a lasting legacy to support student success at Millersville University for the future.
