BHS gets a facelift!

The current Barrington High School building has gone through remarkable change since it first welcomed students in September 1949. Through the years, multiple additions have been added, and wings reconfigured. The latest renovations and additions at BHS, were made possible by the community’s support of a $147 million school district referendum in 2020 that allowed for significant improvements across all 12 Barrington 220 schools. Approximately $60 million of the $147 million were allocated to major projects at BHS, and four years later, those major projects have been completed. For detailed updates, and to learn more about the exciting changes that will enhance the learning environment for generations to come, visit the Build 220 information page.

Alumni help Barrington 220 celebrate 50 years of fine arts

In November we celebrated 50 years of fine arts education in Barrington 220 Schools at the Barrington White House. The event was filled with captivating performances, stunning artwork, interactive experiences, and an engaging alumni panel discussion. It provided an invaluable opportunity for multiple generations to come together and emphasize the importance of early engagement with the arts. A heartfelt thanks to panelists Tom Root (BHS '04), Dr. Lisa West (Principal of North Barrington Elementary), Inderjeet Sidhu (BHS '86), Christine Rollinson (BHS '24), and Catherine Brashler (BHS '24) for making this celebration unforgettable!
