Raven Barrientos

Raven has always had a love for music. She has been singing since age 8 and has played violin since age 10. Her father is also a musician. What once was a career goal has shifted into a need for healing and personal expression for Raven. She was a part of the music ministry at CSLN from 2016 - 2019 and enjoys the teachings as they resonate with her beliefs. When she is not performing as a Stereo Angel, she is writing music for solo projects as well as creating cards for her soon to be released sea inspired oracle deck. Both the songs and the cards are rooted in her journey through grief and healing and she hopes others will find them relatable and useful on their paths.

Child & Youth Services 11:10 AM - 1:10 PM

We have a wonderful child and family team who are eager to provide services for children (ages 2-12) from 11:10 am - 1:10 pm. You can drop your child off and have time to attend our meditation services before the Sunday service. We are not equipped to provide infant services, but we will find a quiet space if needed for little ones and their caregiver.

Community Review of CSLN Budget for 2025

Specifics of the CSLN Budget for 2025 were discussed with our Treasurer, David Jester on Monday January 13th via Zoom. If you are a CSLN member and would like a copy of this Zoom call, please contact admin@cslnashville.org.

Volunteer Needed for Youth Program

We are looking for a volunteer to assist with the Youth Program once a month. Curriculum and Training will be provided. Please email admin@cslnashville.org if you are interested!

Participate in Spirituality and Technology Research

One of our members and Practitioners, Tonya Miller-Hire, is working on her PhD and the topic of her thesis is how technology is influencing spirituality. We can all help Tonya with her research by participating in an online survey. This will take approximately 35 minutes, can be stopped at anytime and can be anonymous. CSLN Visioning Circle on January 26th

Our next Visioning Circle will be on Sunday January 26th for about an hour starting at 1:30pm in our classroom/bookstore area.

The Practice

Location: CSLN Meditation Room

A sacred space to explore, reflect, and apply spiritual principles to everyday life. The Practice offers a safe and supportive circle where participants can share personal challenges, release what no longer serves them, and discover practical steps for moving forward.

Guided by CSL practitioners, this gathering emphasizes deep listening, heartfelt conversations, and the transformative power of living Science of Mind principles. It’s a space for renewal, clarity, and connection—where Spirit meets real-life situations, and practice becomes progress.

Join The Practice to experience the profound growth that comes from engaging in a sacred and intentional community.

SHAWN GALLAWAY

Shawn Gallaway is an award-winning singer/songwriter, visual artist, author, workshop facilitator and energetic healer. He has traveled the world over, sharing his message of “Healing and Transformation through the Arts”. His “I Choose Love” song and online course (a collection of videos, songs, artwork, meditations and processes) continue to inspire and educate people of all ages on how to awaken their hearts and find their art. 

JULIE GROWER

Julie Grower is Nashville-based Folk/Americana singer-songwriter. She has released two albums, In a New Light, and Lucky 7. Her song “Hometown Hallelujah”, written to celebrate the resilience and cooperative spirit of the people of Nashville, in the wake of catastrophic flooding in May 2010 was chosen as the theme song for the podcast The Voice of Free Earth. Julie's song "Down Here" was showcased by Alive Hospice as a song of healing for those affected by grief. Her recent music features songs devoted to animals with a focus on endangered species, and she writes songs for film and television.  

BRUCE-JON BRIGHAM

Bruce-jon Brigham came to Nashville in August 2000 and has been playing & writing original music and songs here since that time. More recently and since February of 2023 he has been recording a definitive album project which will highlight his music and will feature guest artists on several of its 11 slated songs. A four song pre-teaser EP will be released soon [Springtime 2025]

CSLN Women Invited to Women of Unity Breakfast Potluck

Honoring Lisa Firestone

Lisa Firestone will be Unity's Guest Speaker for their women’s group on February 15th at 9:45am at a breakfast potluck, themed “FAITH: THE COURAGE TO BELIEVE!”

Lisa is such a beloved and inspiring lady of faith who seamlessly bridges CSLN and Unity communities.

This will be Lisa’s very first time sharing her deeply personal and powerful journey—from her diagnosis with a brain tumor to her miraculous recovery in perfect health. To make this event even more special, Lisa will also share her own music, thoughtfully composed to accompany her story.

Self-Mastery: The Emergence of the True Self

Self-Mastery: The Emergence of the True Self is a certified course toward becoming a Practitioner, centered around healing the perceived separation between personality and Spirit. This course invites students to embark on an active exploration of their creative nature, including thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and emotions, to gain mastery in living conscious and intentional lives. Through a combination of deep introspection and practical exercises, students will uncover the profound connection between their inner selves and their spiritual essence.

Welcome to the Caring Hearts Corner! This space is dedicated to keeping you informed about the needs in our community and how you can lend a helping hand. 

Community Needs 

• Marsha Gregory is moving and needs assistance with putting some items for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Please let us know if you have skills in this area and are willing to assist with this.

• Dottie Uwaifo, one of our cherished practitioners, has requested prayers for her nephew, who recently experienced a tragic car accident in which several of his friends lost their lives. Please hold Dottie’s nephew and the grieving families in your hearts and prayers during this difficult time.

• Gwen Smith, one of our beloved practitioners, has recently lost her brother. Please hold Gwen and her family in your prayers as she continues to grieve from this tremendous loss.

• Steve Trinward has just had his second of two cataract surgeries and would benefit from community support and ongoing prayers as he heals from this latest surgery.

How You Can Help:

You don’t need to be part of the Caring Hearts team to assist with these needs—any support is appreciated! Our team is holding our third meeting on Tuesday, February 4th from 6pm - 7pm via zoom where we will discuss current events and next team actions. We’ll continue to share updates about our plans, member requests, and other ways you can serve.
