SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER

My Jesus,

I believe that you are present in the most holy Sacrament.

I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least into my heart.

I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.

Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

We Are Thinking Of You
To our dear ones affected or suffering from COVID -19; and to the many affected by the loss of their dear ones, please know that you are in our heart and prayers. We are united in the Heart of Christ! Let's pray this plague will soon be over so we can come together in gratitude to praise and thank God who saved us

Let's pray to our beloved saint Mother Cabrini, the patron saint of hospital administrators to lead and protect those who put their life in danger to save the lives of others.

Let's ask Mary to help us reach out to the vulnerable in our midst, to family members, friends, acquaintances as well as to the stranger.

Let's us open our heart completely to God and welcome Him into our lives. Christ our light inspire us, enlighten us and guide us!

All Saints and angels intercede for us! Amen.

Although, we may not be together in person, we are always together in prayer. In this difficult time, we are thinking of you.

Sister Bridget Zanin, MSC
Executive Director
Lenten 2020 Outreach
Cabrini School Villa Amelia/Argentina
The Cabrini School of Villa Amelia is in the Province of Buenos Aires and serves 511 students from grades 1 thru 5.

These students come from families of low social economy who live in contaminated environments exposing them to health problems and insecurity. Many of their parents are unemployed and others work in dangerous places.  They depend upon each other for survival and there is a need for food and clothing.

In 1995, Sister (Madre) Virginia MSC opened a community health center which provides medical care and specialty care in pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology and psychology.

We appreciate any donation you can give the Cabrini School Villa Amelia in Argentina so the Missionary Sisters can continue to improve the lives of these children and their families through education, spiritual growth and health care.

A Message from Our Rector
Rev. Msgr. Richard Hynes

An adage from a few years ago applies to our time: "We are infected or we are affected." No exceptions. It resonates with Jesus' second commandment (which is like the first): Love one another as yourself. We are sheltering-in because our officials, government and medical, require this act of communal care and life-saving love.

As our Eucharistic evokes, so also spiritual communion invites the same dual communion: with Our Lord and with our sisters & brothers, globally and in the neighborhood. Our behaviors fall into the category: one does what one can. Cardinal Cupich's invitation (see below) to pray five times a day becomes a 'union with' or a 'communion'.
Pray Five Times A Day
9:00 a.m.
Prayer for those infected with the virus and all who are ill.

Lord, place your healing hand on those who suffer illness. Bring them to full health and ease their anxious hearts. May our prayer and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary encourage them that they are not alone. We ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN

12:00 p.m.
Prayer for health care workers and those attending to the sick.

Lord, we are ennobled by those who put their lives at risk in caring for the sick. Keep them safe and embolden them when they are weary. We ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN

3:00 p.m.
Prayer for first responders and essential workers.

Lord, we pray for those who run to danger to keep us safe and those who serve the common good. Embrace them with your mantle of protection and comfort the fears of their families. We ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN

6:00 p.m.
Prayer for people of every nation and their leaders.

Lord, the pandemic opens our eyes to see each other as brothers and sisters in one human family. We pray for people of every nation and their leaders, asking that they be inspired to seek the good of all and quell the voices of division. We ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN

9:00 p.m.
Prayer for those who have died today

Lord, we grieve the passing of our sisters and brothers who have died this day. We commend them to your tender mercy, confident that nothing, not even death, will separate us from your love. We ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN
