Kula Urban Farm Open House |
Kula Urban Farm invites the public to an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at the farm on 115 Atkins Ave. The event will include tours of the greenhouse and outside beds, Master Gardeners on hand to answer questions, sale of produce and flowers, seed swaps and refreshments provided by the Kula Cafe. Possibly an Asbury Park landmark going back to 1888, the Sunset Lake Footbridge was almost completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. But as of this month, the bridge is back, open, and more beautiful than ever! Come celebrate the

On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the beginning of the Summer of Love, the first Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade's spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. To celebrate the festival's 50th anniversary, the ShowRoom presents a special screening of Monterey Pop, the documentary by DA Pennebaker capturing the musical moments which became legend. The screening on Saturday, June 17 is at 10 pm, and the screening on Sunday, June 18 is at 7:30 pm. More info here.
