Graduation Caps and Wedding Cakes

Valentine's Day has come and gone, but perhaps on that day some folks were asked an important question, and hopefully an equal number of them said yes.  Whether you're getting hitched, graduating  or planning a family reunion, put Burke on your list for places to toast those special days.  The mountains and rural landscape are the perfect backdrop for any event, big or small, and there are plenty of services available to make it all go off without a hitch.

Located on a quiet country road, Tempson Barn offers 100 acres of amazing scenery and a gorgeous post and beam barn.  The reviews say it all including this one from a recently wed couple: "Caitlin and Tina were so helpful and made planning from another State a breeze. If we needed anything at all they were always there to help. The view is incredible, the arbor overlooks the Willoughby Gap and is absolutely breathtaking. The barn was everything we wanted in a venue; a beautiful view, easily accessible, lots of room to dance and move around, a great bar, good lighting and private. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get married."

The Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center is ready and waiting to partner with you for the big day.  You can say I do on skis, on your bikes, inside, outside, at the summit...Your wedding, your way!  The state of the art conference center accommodates over 200 guests and features amazing views on all sides.  And, of course, if you need lodging for guests, there's room at the Burke Mountain Hotel.

You can't beat a view of cliffs rising above Lake Willoughby.  The Notch House is located near the south end of this majestic glacial lake and offers an intimate setting for your next celebration of up to 150 people.  The large lawn is perfect for an outdoor gathering with plenty of room for a tent.  Inside, the beautifully decorated home features a stunning dining room surrounded by windows, a chef's kitchen and several fieldstone fireplaces. A private trail leads from the backyard to the lake.

The staff at The Inn at Mountain View Farm are pros at hosting weddings and other events.  If you want it, they know how to make it happen!  The 440 acre estate offers stunning views in every direction, an animal sanctuary complete with barn cats, and a beautiful, rustic barn and large lawn perfect for knot tying.  As one Trip Advisor review states: "Thank you for providing the best venue, professionalism, wonderful staff and good vibes for a wedding weekend full of love and joy!"
