There's a new place to dine out on Darling Hill Road.  Salt is located at The Stepping Stones Inn/Serenity Spa and features  the culinary
stylings of chef, Aureon Nommick.  The name is derived from a unique feature of his cooking, Himalayan salt blocks that the food absorbs to enrich the taste and make it healthier.  Menu choices include Braised Lamb Shanks, Blackened Wild Alaskan Salmon with Pesto Risotto and vegetarian choices such as Pasta Primavera and Lasagna with a Sage Parmesan Cream Sauce.

Just down the road, Juniper's is a family favorite with something for everyone including gluten free options and weekly specials including Tuesday's Burger & Pint for just $12.  The restaurant also made the list as one of Vermont's Best Farm to Plate restaurants.  From Tripsavvy.com..." Here, local meat (including some of the inn's own pasture-raised beef) is featured extensively on the menu, along with produce and specialty products from a solid assortment of nearby farms."

Burke Publick House offers a casual pub atmosphere with excellent starters including nachos, sliders and wings.  Entrees include Fish & Chips, Bangers & Mash, Filet Mignon and a Steak & Cheese sandwich that'll knock your socks off.  And definitely check out the cocktails including Pineapple Express, Pistachio Martini and The Bee's Knees.  Stop by on a Thursday night and enjoy half price bottles of wine.
