 Unpack & Unwind

If you haven't booked your leaf peeping vacation yet, get on that pronto!   There are lots and lots of lodging choices in the area, but foliage season, though short, is a busy one so book your autumn stay now.

Located just a few miles from East Burke, New England Christian Home Rental offers 3 bedrooms and room for 8 people.  Beautifully decorated, the home has a kitchen, Wifi, and great sunset views from the porch.

For a view of the changing colors reflected in Lake Willoughby, book a stay at the Willoughvale Inn & Cottages featuring guestrooms, suites, lakeside, and lakeview cottages. There's a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner as well as kayaks and canoes for borrowing.  If the family dog is coming along, no worries, the Inn and cottages are pet friendly.

Enjoy 13 acres and a pond to yourself at Play Hard Mountain Sports, a post and beam home tucked away just a half mile from the Kirby Connector mountain bike trail. You can even take a hike to the top of Burke Mountain from a trail on the property. And bring along the family chef who will most certainly appreciate the kitchen and all the top of the line appliances.

Located just a quick drive to Northern Vermont University and downtown Lyndonville, the Lyndon Motor Lodge offers cozy and affordable rooms, including some that are pet friendly.  Trip Advisor gives it 4.5 out of 5 stars and the reviews tell the story: "We were as comfortable as we would have been at any high dollar hotel"; "We stay here every year on our way to Newfoundland. Always affordable ($85/night for family of 4), clean and quiet with great owners."

Almost time for the Burke Fall Festival!

Soon, the colors will be changing from shades of green to brilliant oranges, yellows, and reds.  Of course, you don't want to miss the Annual Burke Fall Foliage Festival on Saturday, September 29th.  It's a full day of fun for everyone including a parade, wagon rides, cow flop bingo, bounce houses, pony rides, face painting, live music, raffles, silent auctions, and over 70 craft vendors on the green.  Save room for lunch at the BBQ!
