Holiday Spirit abounds in and around Burke! It's the perfect month to visit to enjoy the sights of the season and check out the many holiday festivities happening this month. And, of course, it's also time to get a head start on fun in the snow and be the first one on the chairlift or on the trails.

Hello Winter! Very soon, the lifts will be spinning at Burke Mountain and the ropes will drop at Kingdom Trails. Weather permitting, VAST snowmobile trails will be ready for cruising mid-month. Holiday fun is on tap all month including a Visit from Santa and a Tree Lighting/Holiday Party on the 14th.

Lodging options abound for all types of vacations whether you're visiting to enjoy the holidays with family or want to get a head start on Winter Fun.


Stay in the heart of the village at Adventurer's Home vacation rental which offers 3 bedrooms and room for up to 8 people. The recently modernized home has a spacious kitchen with all you need to create a holiday feast. It's just a few minutes drive to the slopes and Nordic trails.


Island Pond is known as the 'Snowmobile Capitol of Vermont' and if you're planning to do some cruising in the woods this winter, check out the Island Pond Century Home and Maple Leaf Rentals. Three rentals are available including a charming, 4 bedroom home built in 1907. The Maple Leaf rentals include one and two bedroom spaces with shared access to a kitchen. Each rental offers direct access to VAST snowmobile trails.


If you prefer a room a the Inn, the Inn at Mountain View Farm offers 14 beautiful rooms and suites, each thoughtfully decorated with furnishings such as sleigh beds and pine writing tables. Located on Darling Hill Road, the Inn features amazing mountain views and quick access to Kingdom Trails Nordic Network.

Be sure to check out Vermont Country Candles new shop on Depot Street in Lyndonville. You'll find lots of locally made gifts including essential oils, soaps, home decor and, of course, soy candles.


A stop at Sanderson's Wooden Bowls is a must for one-of-a-kind hand-turned bowls, pens and more.
