Deal of the Month

It may be too early to Think Spring, but it's exactly the right time to plan for your Summer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares.

Firefly Farm at Burke Hollow’s 2024 CSA registration is now open. Join now and receive a share of local veggies all summer long, add-ons from other local producers, access to cut-your-own herbs, invitations to seasonal gatherings on the farm and a relationship with the farmers who bring you your food!

If you're worried you won't use all the products in a share, just pair up with a friend or neighbor to share the shares and share the cost. Prices vary depending on the size and duration of the CSA share you choose, but as an example, a 16 week Summer Share starts at $344. Not bad for a season's worth of farm fresh produce.

What might you find in a Summer Share? Of course, it varies depending on what's in season, but expect to find things like fresh greens and lettuce, cukes, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, winter squash, green beans and more. Add-ons include Jasper Hill Cheese and fresh eggs by the dozen.

The farm also offers a 'Care Share' program. Donations to the program go towards providing CSA shares to local families in need who might otherwise not be able to afford the cost of a share on their own.
