Spring is a time for fresh new beginnings! In that spirit, we would like to announce Milagro Foundation's new partnership with Equality Florida, INC.! Equality Florida is the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Through lobbying, grassroots organizing, education, and coalition building, Equality Florida is changing the state of Florida so that no one suffers harassment or discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. Some of this critical work includes: Safe and Healthy Schools, LGBT Health Equity, HIV Advocacy, LGBTQ Protections, TransAction Gun Violence Protection, Election Center, and Family Recognition. What a crucial time to be supportive of our LGBTQ community.

Alive & Free is a community of support that helps young people build character and work through any difficulties or trauma they are experiencing. It empowers youth to avoid peer pressure and situations that lead to violence, incarceration, or other negative outcomes like drug addiction or dropping out of school. Alive & Free is about getting on and staying on the right track.

without having to worry about where you are going to sleep at night, where your next meal is coming from, and how you will pay for clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies. Project 150 was created out of the community’s desire to help high school students stay in school and thrive.
Project 150 strives to achieve this by providing support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students so they can remain in school, graduate, and build bright futures.
