Daily Prayer
Starter

Please set aside time each day to pray for 2-3 minutes. This week's prayer starter is:

"Almighty God, you brought yourself low and took on human form in Jesus.  In him, you set an example of how to have faith in the midst of suffering that you desire me to have life everlasting. Help me not become discouraged when things don't go quite right, but to have confidence in you..."

Communion
Offering
This Sunday

Each month, Ghent UMC accepts a communion offering to help people in need in our church family or surrounding community.  Simply place your offering in your giving envelope, indicating the amount given towards benevolence, that is above and beyond your regular gifts.

We are also collecting gas and store gift cards to help those in need.

Consignment Sale

The GUMP director and staff wish to thank all the volunteers for their help with their Fall consignment sale. GUMP raised more than $9,000 for their programs and activities.

They also give a big thank you to the consignors who allowed their unsold items to be donated. Some items went to a new foster Mother with a newborn and to several non-profit organizations that help the less-fortunate. One of those organizations is in West Virginia!
