New Haven Museum Is Open

NHM galleries are open by advance reservation only for visits of up to one hour by individuals and family groups or sheltering units of up to six individuals. Registration is through Eventbrite at least 24 hours in advance. Hours of operation are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry at 4 pm.

The newest exhibits on view include “FACTORY” and Martha Willette Lewis’s, “I SAW THE FIGURE FIVE IN BLACK”.

Yale University Art Gallery Reopens to the Public on September 25th

On Friday, September 25, the Yale University Art Gallery welcomes back visitors for the first time since March with new safety measures and reduced visitor capacity.

Following Yale University protocols, the Gallery’s reactivation will happen in phases, beginning with access to its three special exhibitions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only.

The permanent collection galleries will remain closed until further notice. Visitors may reserve a free, timed-entry ticket on the Gallery’s website (artgallery.yale.edu). A limited number of daily walk-up tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hours: Fridays, 3–7 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, noon-4 p.m.
Yale Center for British Art - Masks
Yale Center for British Art Opens on September 25

On September 25, the Yale Center for British Art will reopen to the public with limited capacity and new safety measures. Visitors may reserve a free timed-entry ticket on the Center’s website. A limited number of walk-up tickets may be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. It is highly recommended to reserve tickets in advance.

The Center also has implemented more frequent cleaning measures and adopted additional safety protocols for visitors and staff, which are outlined in detail online.

The Center’s new temporary hours are from noon to 7 p.m. on Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Travel Advisory Updated September 14, 2020
Anyone traveling into Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey from a state that has a new daily positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average are directed to
  1. Self-quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state
  2. Provide proof of negative COVID-19 test results within three days of arrival to avoid quarantining
  3. Get tested in Connecticut and quarantine until receipt of negative test results

Travelers will now be required to complete a form upon entry into Connecticut stating their name, date of birth, state of origin, estimated length of stay and location while in Connecticut, as well as contact information. The form is required to be submitted to DPH and can be completed online by visiting ct.gov/travelform.
