Business is Booming!!

Hello Knightdale! So many positive things are going on throughout our town, and I wanted to share just a few going on with our citizens and community.

Welcome Alpaca to Knightdale!

July 28 was Peruvian Independence Day, and the Town of Knightdale celebrated by welcoming one of our newest businesses to town!

I was invited to attend the ribbon cutting, along with representatives from the Knightdale Chamber and members of the Knightdale community. Our town location makes the 11th location of the family-owned, North Carolina-based restaurant chain.

If you’ve never been, the restaurant is known for its Peruvian rotisserie-style charcoal chicken. According to their website, they offer a “healthier alternative” to typical fast food concepts.

We’re excited to have Alpaca as a new addition to our dining options in town!

Representative Roberson Honors

Ryan Hayworth

As the Mayor of Knightdale, I was honored to have been invited by Representative James Roberson  to attend a ceremonial remembrance for fallen officer Ryan Hayworth. Representative Roberson presented a flag to Ryan’s parents in his honor, with more of Ryan’s family and members of the Knightdale Police Department in attendance.

I believe it is extremely important for our community to remember Ryan and the indelible legacy he left. His spirit of service will never be forgotten, and we will continue to strive for excellence as we "Live Like Ryan."

LaunchKNIGHTDALE Graduates its

2022 Cohort!

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 LaunchKNIGHTDALE graduates!

LaunchKNIGHTDALE is an opportunity for our small business community  to gain access to key information for starting or growing a business. The program is also beneficial to members of the Knightdale community. The services these small businesses provide will provide various opportunities and goods for town members and visitors. Participants must be selected to participate after applying and interviewing for a seat in the course.

One of the things I hear most from small business owners is that there’s a lack of resources for developing their businesses. Many start companies without a great deal of support, and that can be overwhelming. That’s why we’re excited about having a Launch program in our town.

LaunchKNIGHTDALE gives small business owners a chance to connect with other entrepreneurs and build a network of support. Business mentors also help to provide them a roadmap to success, and that can be very beneficial to anyone who is just starting a business–or anyone who wants to take their business to the next level.

This year’s program was extremely well-organized, and I want to say thank you to the leadership team and volunteers who worked to make it a success. A special thank you goes to the town citizens who participated in this year’s class! I loved seeing the individual businesses present business ideas and visions from all different aspects and areas!

I send a special thank you to the Program Director, Dr. Angie Arrington, Katie Gailes, Laurie Okun, the LaunchKNIGHTDALE Planning Committee, LaTanya Dubois, The Tennie Group (Title Sponsor), Wake Tech, Knightdale Chamber, Knightdale Rotary, and the rest of our town partners who helped make this year’s program a wonderful success!
