Hello Friends,

The days are getting longer, the marina is humming with spring energy, and the surrounding hills are turning that vibrant green that only this time of year can bring. It's one of my favorite transitions—when Port Ludlow begins to feel a little more open, a little more energized, and full of possibility.

A quick (and slightly funny) observation—my brother is a contractor working up and down the I-5 corridor, and lately he’s been telling me how miserable the weather has been… rain day after day. Meanwhile, I find myself saying, “It rained today?”

It got me thinking—how do we share with the rest of the state that Port Ludlow often enjoys a little break from all that?* In fact, just this week I left work in the sunshine and arrived home in the rain.

Then it hit me—we already have the perfect way to show it. Our live webcams overlooking Ludlow Bay let you see exactly what the day looks like here anytime.

So if you’re looking for a little sunshine, fresh air, and a place where spring is fully waking up, we’d love to welcome you to Port Ludlow—whether it’s for a quick visit, a round of golf, dinner by the water, or your first discovery of this special corner of Washington.

Cheers,

Dan Ratigan

General Manager

*Port Ludlow sits in the Olympic Rain Shadow—a meteorological quirk where the Olympic Mountains intercept much of the incoming Pacific moisture before it ever reaches us. The result? We often enjoy measurably less rain than Seattle, Tacoma, or the communities just a ferry ride away.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a truly fabulous stay at Port Ludlow Resort. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and our marina-view room was stunning and peaceful.

Our trip was made even more special when we got engaged on Valentine’s Day during dinner in the Fireside Room—an unforgettable, magical moment.

A huge thank-you to General Manager Dan Ratigan, who extended such incredible hospitality and made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and wonderful. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and nothing was overlooked.

This resort will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to return.

Thank you, Jennifer! We are pleased to have been part of your special occasion and congratulations to you both.

A Fresh Setting for Spring Gatherings

Spring has a way of changing the energy of a meeting.

At Port Ludlow, it’s not just a change of scenery—it’s a shift in mindset. Mornings start with calm water and mountain views, conversations feel more natural, and ideas tend to flow a little easier when you’re not surrounded by distractions.

Instead of the usual boardroom routine, your group can move between focused sessions and time outdoors—whether that’s a walk along the trails, a round of golf, or simply taking a moment on the veranda overlooking the marina.

As the day winds down, the experience continues with shared meals, great wine, and time to connect in a more meaningful way.
