One of my favorite things to do is take an early morning drive through the Chimacum Valley. The farm stands are filled with tomatoes still warm from the sun, baskets of berries, fragrant herbs, and vegetables picked just hours before. It reminds me how fortunate we are to live in a place where "local" isn't just a menu description—it's part of our everyday life.
That connection between our local farmers and our kitchen is something we're proud to share with every guest who visits. Whether you're enjoying dinner on the veranda overlooking the bay, joining us for weekend brunch, or simply relaxing with a glass of Washington wine as the sun sets, you're experiencing the flavors of this remarkable region.
If you've been thinking about one more summer getaway, August is the perfect time. Spend the day hiking our trails, paddling the bay, exploring nearby farms and wineries, or simply slowing down and enjoying the view.
Before long, autumn will be knocking at the door, but for now there's still plenty of summer left to savor.
We hope you'll come spend a little of it with us.
Cheers,
Dan Ratigan
