HAPPY SEPTEMBER, EVERYONE!

Hello Friends,

What an incredible month August turned out to be!

We were honored to host the rededication of our beloved Totem Pole, where our guest speakers shared heartfelt stories about its history and meaning. The Git Hoan Dance Group gave us a powerful performance, and we are especially grateful to David Boxley and his team for their beautiful restoration work and for bringing such a memorable show to our community. Following the celebration, nearly 100 friends joined us for a traditional Salmon Bake on the front lawn—it was truly a afternoon to remember.

Another highlight was the Jefferson County Humane Society fundraiser held under the Marina tent. Thanks to the hard work of Jen, Pam and their team, the event was a huge success.

While I don’t have the final tally yet, I know the funds raised will go a long way toward supporting this important community organization.

Looking ahead, September brings us a chance to thank and celebrate the incredible volunteers who make the Wooden Boat Festival possible each year. Their dedication and passion keep this cherished tradition alive.

And of course, there are plenty of reasons to visit the Inn this month! Whether it’s a round of golf on our beautifully conditioned course, an afternoon on the water with a kayak or SUP, exploring the trails by e-bike, or simply enjoying the crisp air and stunning scenery—September is a wonderful time to be here.

FEATURED FARM FOR SEPTEMBER

We’re incredibly fortunate to work with such a vibrant community of local farmers and artisans, and each month we love sharing their stories with you.

For September, we’re shining a spotlight on Chimalow Produce.

Chimalow is one of our newer farms (relatively speaking)-owner Laura started out managing 2 small plots of land one in Chimacum and one in Port Ludlow, Hence the Name.

Starting this year Laura is focusing on a new location where she is managing 3 acres of produce crops all the while maintaining her commitment to sustainable farming practices, resulting in some of the most healthy and tasty produce in the Chimacum Valley.

These high-quality products have been a true treat for our guests, thanks to Laura’s dedication and hard work.

I encourage you visit their Instagram @chimalowproduce to see all the innovative and exciting things they’re doing, as well as stop by their booth at the Jefferson County Farmers Markets in Port Townsend each Wednesday and Saturday.
