March 2024

Dear Friends,

I recently spent a wonderful Saturday with students who were participating in our inaugural undergraduate Muskingum Leadership Academy (MLA). Not only did the students have an opportunity to work with our Applied Leadership faculty, Drs. Robert McManus and Henry Stanford, they were also able to connect with alums Darrell Hazell '86 and Bill Goetz '86 and learn from their extensive leadership experience.

We are intentional about providing our students with unique opportunities to connect with alumni and community members both on and off campus. Bringing the community to campus and our campus to the community brings the Muskingum Experience to life for our students.

You will read about these connections throughout this issue of Magenta Lines. All these transformative experiences show the impact of a Muskingum education, which are demonstrated in the exceptional accomplishments of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni reported in this newsletter.

As we enter this Spring season of growth and renewal, I encourage you to draw strength from your connections with Muskingum, inspiring future opportunities and experiences.

Warmly,

President Sue Hasseler
