May-June 2024

Dear Friends,

As we celebrated the completion of another academic year and began the busy summer season, I was struck by the many ways in which our students and institution continue to thrive. Throughout this year, you have read many stories about the innovative learning and engagement opportunities faculty and staff provide for our students both in and out of the classroom, ensuring that they are challenged and connected. You have also read about how we are reaching learners of all ages through the expansion of our graduate and other adult learning programs.

Of course, those learning opportunities continue over the summer. Learners of all ages are enrolled in our summer school terms and many of our students are taking advantage of internship, research, and study away opportunities. Faculty and staff are engaging in strategic planning, program revision, and research while also welcoming incoming students in Muskie Preview sessions and holding camps for members of the community. It’s also the time in which we tackle larger facility upgrades including a major HVAC project in Cambridge Hall and upgrades to the Quad Center. Muskingum stays on the move year round.

Muskingum University continues to prepare learners of all ages to excel professionally, grow personally, and contribute positively to our changing world. As always, thank you for your ongoing support and investment in Muskingum. The combination of your support with the commitment and dedication of our campus community will ensure that Muskingum thrives long into the future!

With warm wishes for all the good things that summer brings,

President Sue Hasseler
