March 2025

Dear Friends,

Many of you have heard me say that we continue to build “a Muskingum like always; a Muskingum like never before” (a phrase adapted from a wonderful mentor I worked with years ago.) We are certainly living out this reality right now.

As always, we offer excellent opportunities for students in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, and more. However, we continue to reimagine and reconfigure these educational programs like never before to ensure that students across the generations understand and experience the powerful value of a higher education degree. The creativity and dedication of our faculty and staff in leading this work has been exemplary. As always, Muskingum faculty and staff are deeply committed to student and institutional well-being.

As we continue to navigate an ever-changing world, we look ahead to new opportunities to deepen our commitment to a transformative education. We believe firmly that education should not only prepare individuals for meaningful careers but also equip them to be thoughtful, engaged citizens who make a positive difference in the world around them. Like always and like never before, we embrace the power of learning and dialogue to bring people together, foster understanding, and create lasting change. This work is not easy and can sometimes feel disruptive, but it is and always has been woven into the very fabric of the Muskingum experience.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and support. Together we are shaping a future defined by knowledge, compassion, and opportunity. Your dedication to our mission fuels our efforts to do this essential work.

With gratitude and hope,

President Sue Hasseler
