GuideStar Recognizes Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation
GuideStar has recognized Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation with the 2021 Platinum GuideStar Seal of Transparency!

GuideStar seals are a way for nonprofit organizations such as Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation to demonstrate their commitment to transparency and build confidence among supporters. A Seal of Transparency appears on an organization's Nonprofit Profile on GuideStar when the organization has publicly shared important information about its work.

Earning the Platinum Seal requires sharing truthful information for public display, including goals and metrics to show progress made toward our mission.

We are proud to display this Platinum Seal that demonstrates that we are always working toward our goal to be the most trusted philanthropic organization in the Central Valley.
Valley Pulls for a Cause Raises $60,000!
One night, a group of friends and family from Gustine had an idea to host a tractor pull. Soon afterward, they hit the dirt running and began planning the Central Valley Farmers Pulls for a Cause.

This past February on a Saturday afternoon, the first-ever “Valley Pulls for a Cause” took place through the hard work of this generous group of volunteers, who planned the event in four weeks' time. The event was a truck and tractor pull to benefit Valley Children’s Hospital. In total, the event featured 113 registered pulls and was seen on Facebook Live on one of the largest tractor pull sites, allowing for viewing as far away as Europe by fans of tractor pulls. The event also featured activities and fun for all ages, including food, a silent auction, and an opportunity drawing featuring many wonderful items. If you have not attended a tractor pull, you are definitely missing out and are cordially invited to attend the 2nd Annual Valley Pulls for a Cause next year.

We are so grateful to be the recipient of the remarkable $60,300 raised by the group. All the funds raised are designated to support Valley Children’s Oncology Social Services Fund, which helps our patients and their families navigate financial emergencies during treatment. Thank you again to the Valley Pulls for a Cause team, their families, and friends, and community members who participated and attended. You are all making a difference!
Vehicle Donors Bring a Smile to Valley Children's
Did you know that you can help kids by donating your old car to Valley Children's Hospital? Donating a vehicle is not only easy, but it’s also fun! Whether it’s an old family car or honoring dad’s favorite Chevy pick-up with a memorable way to say goodbye, every vehicle donation is a unique gift with the potential to bring a great story along for the ride.

If you have a vehicle but would prefer to keep the memories instead of the car, donate it to Valley Children's! We consider all types of vehicle donations, whether they’re running or not.

To donate, simply call 844-589-4483, or submit the online donation form at valleychildrens.careasy.org. Thank you!
Valley Children’s Announces Newest Residency Class on National Match Day
Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program, Affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, announced its newest residency class Friday, March 19, on national Match Day, when medical students around the country find out where they will train for at least the next three years.

“We are happy to welcome our new class to Valley Children’s at a critical time,” says Dr. Jolie Limon, Valley Children’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Designated Institutional Officer. “We look forward to training these young physicians to deliver safe and high quality clinical care, while also being mindful of health equity.”

This year’s residency students make up the fifth graduating class from Valley Children’s residency program. Nine of them are from California, with three from the Central Valley.

“We are dedicated to training exceptional pediatricians to be advocates for children and the community,” says Dr. Vini Vijayan, Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program Director. “This year, we matched with 13 bright and passionate physicians. These physicians join the Valley Children’s family and our mission to bring the best care to the children of the Central Valley.”

In addition to Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program, Valley Children’s Pharmacy Residency Program matched with four pharmacists, all from California.

Valley Children’s Pharmacy Residency Program also welcomed their postgraduate year-two pharmacy fellow.

Match Day processes are similar among several health professions, including medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry and others. The Match uses algorithms to provide a systematic approach for fair residency placements.
