The
Isnardi Foundation
generously awarded $100,000 to support the Valley Children's Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program. The Isnardi Foundation, a charitable organization located here in Fresno, has contributed a remarkable half a million dollars to Valley Children’s since 2014. The Valley Children’s Cancer Survivorship Program works with childhood cancer patients and families who have completed treatment and are declared cancer-free. The program provides a comprehensive evaluation of the survivor’s health, academic and social development, and provides patient education about their diagnosis, treatment, potential late effects and health maintenance. We are grateful for the Isnardi Foundation’s commitment to helping the Valley’s survivors of pediatric cancer!

We’re grateful and thankful for
Disney "VoluntEARS"
and
ABC 30
for providing holiday cheer and special presents to our patients! For more than 36 years, The Walt Disney Company and its VoluntEARS program have provided comfort, happiness and inspiration to kids and families around the globe. We are thrilled Disney and its affiliate ABC 30 chose to support Valley Children’s through a community grant that brought smiles and joy to many. On December 14, patients had the opportunity to enter a specially-decorated “winter wonderland” set up in the hospital to participate in arts and crafts, and choose their very own Disney toy, plush animal or blanket. Patients who were unable leave their room were given the opportunity to select their toy via an iPad tablet. Then, the “VoluntEARS” hand-delivered their chosen toy and even stayed a bit to play! In all, a total of 185 patients received gifts. The Disney VoluntEARS program makes it simple and fun for their employees to make a positive impact in local communities, and we are grateful they chose to benefit the children and families served by Valley Children’s Healthcare.

Thirteen-year-old
Sariah
recently underwent a hemispherotomy, a life-changing procedure where Valley Children’s neurosurgeons disconnected the linkage between the two sides of her brain to ease the epileptic seizures she's battled since she was a baby. The 10-hour surgery allowed Sariah’s left side of the brain to completely take over functions normally led by the right side. Now, Sariah is living a life her family never thought possible: One that is seizure-free. Every day, your support makes stories like Sariah’s possible.
Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100, or whatever you can afford to help kids like Sariah? We simply can’t do it without you.
Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who are in need.
