Vallarta Partners To Support Children

Vallarta Supermarkets, a partner through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, is committed to improving the health and well-being of children in our community. Vallarta Supermarkets are partnering with Valley Children's for the Kids Eat Smart program. In their three Fresno locations, this partnership allows shoppers to take a free piece of fruit for each child ages 12 years and younger. We are so grateful to Vallarta for helping to improve the health and well-being of our local children.

We were thrilled to welcome Miss California 2018, MacKenzie Freed; Miss California Outstanding Teen 2018, Cameron Doan; and judges for the Miss California competition to our Hospital on June 27. The Miss America Organization is a longtime partner through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The next day, we also welcomed Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin, who visited with patients and families and provided a special performance for their enjoyment. We are grateful for the fundraising efforts and volunteer hours of local title holders from throughout the region. We appreciate the Miss America Organization's continued support of Valley Children's and are very grateful for all the joy they bring to our patients.

Thank you to our local Costco locations for another incredible year of fundraising. This year, Costco raised $411,802 to support Valley Children's. As a partner through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Costco has – through a combination of donations and fundraising – contributed nearly $6.7 million to support Valley Children’s since 1990. We are so grateful to everyone who made this incredible result possible. Thank you to Costco staff members for their tireless efforts on behalf of the kids we serve and to the customers for donating to Valley Children's.

Thank you to BBVA for their generous commitment of $100,000 to support expanding access to pediatric healthcare in Central California. This gift will ensure that children in and around Modesto, Fowler, Visalia and Bakersfield are able to get the care their families know and trust, closer to home. The ABC30 "Futures Worth Fighting For" Telethon is coming up on August 8, 2019. For an entire day,  ABC30 will be at the Hospital, sharing about the services and care Valley Children's provides for the children in our community. There are still opportunities to sponsor this special event.
