The Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program hosted their annual Childhood Cancer Survivorship Conference in September. This year’s theme was “Survivors Taking Action: Discovering the Power of Your Voice.” Of the more than 120 people in attendance, nearly 40 were survivors.
Attendees heard from keynote speakers from CHLA’s Survivorship Program, from a parent of a pediatric cancer survivor and from an oncology support services organization, Second Star to the Right (an organization that supports children with cancer and their families in the Kern County area). Three survivors shared their experiences through treatment and remission in addition to the stories shared by the survivors who participated in

We are so thankful to our community for their support of the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program. Because of donations from our generous donors, this program is able to grow and provide more services to more survivors.
