While watching my beloved WORLD CHAMPION ATLANTA BRAVES late last now, (I devoed it!!!) I watched as a rising young pitcher struggled on the mound.
His usual “stuff” was not working and he was getting surprisingly hammered by the other team.
The play-by-play announcer made the comment that this young pitcher's character was being sharpened, shaped and refined by this puzzling malady-his pitches long depended on were not producing the positive outcomes expected of himself and his team.
But still, in this time of seemingly failure, the announcer declared that this young pitcher needed to simply “GRIND IT OUT!”

“Doug, (fill in YOUR name), oftentimes in this life one MUST simply “GRIND IT OUT!!”
When we see nothing good happening from our continues effort WE must simply “GRIND IT OUT!!!”
I have recently acquired a wonderful new word-
CONUNDRUM-A paradoxical, insoluble, or difficult problem; a dilemma. , a CONUNDRM
From long experience I am discovering that nothing good lasts forever!! Just when one thinks he or she has mastered something a CONUNDRM occurs!!!
One's life is humming along, seemingly logical “progress” is being seen and obtained and then WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bottom falls out, the wheels fall off!!!!
Out of the blue calamity strikes. An unexpected bill, a sudden illness, INFLATION/GAS PRICES.............................................
And with the sudden crisis, one is forced to slow down or change course and too often start again from ground zero and reboot and/or rebuild.
For those of us old enough to remember “jump-starting” a car the first hurdle to overcome was getting the car moving!! Once started one dared not slow down and/or give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This principle is so true in our daily lives. We get injured or set back and/or knocked off our course.
For a myriad of reasons what we used to do and were successful gets thwarted.
The HARD part is getting RE-STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oftentimes one must start completely anew with past victories and successes safely in the rear view mirror!!
One must “GRIND IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
