Grocery Shopping - In the Time of Corona

Grocery shopping during the time of Coronavirus can be a daunting proposition.

From donning proper protective wear to maintaining a 6’ zone between other humans, as well as navigating the safe transfer of groceries into your home, one can easily become overwhelmed.

Following are my tips to acquire all the food and supplies you will need while obeying the STAY HOME order presently in effect.

I hope this helps to alleviate some of the stress we are all experiencing during this uncertain time.

STAY SAFE, STAY HEALTHY, STAY HOME!

Grocery Delivery Service Providers:

My preferred vendor is CostCo, as they carry most everything I need, including office supplies, first aid supplies, vitamins and pet food. I have been able to acquire all of my food and supplies using this technique:

  1. Download the CostCo App for mobile phone.
  2. While Shopping for your items you will notice several marked “Out of Stock”. In this case, select “Add to List” for this item (located beneath “Add to Cart”).
  3. Create a List where you are able to add these out-of-stock items. Check back several times a day/night until you notice “Add to Cart” becomes available for the item. Then immediately add to cart and check out; if you do not check out immediately, the item will disappear.
  4. Be advised the Search bar is not up to snuff. With a little extra effort you will most likely find what you are searching for.
