Welcome back to the October 2019 edition of the Team and Group Coaching Ins and Outs.

As we step into the last quarter of the year, the buzz around getting prepared for the new decade is well in hand. It's making virtual retreats a popular option, as well as productivity programs and planning.

It's also a busy time of year for coaches to get their programs launched. If you didn't check out last month's email about What's in your Launch Kit, do take a look back it!

Once you have your groups going you'll want to make sure that you do all that you can to Keep the Conversation Going. That's the focus of this month's article.

Don't have any of your own ready-made programs set to go? Join us as a PlanDoTrack (PDT) or Coaching Business Builder (CBB) Facilitator. These books are a road-tested offering around productivity, leadership and teamwork. The training is also 24 CCEs (including 19 hours of core competencies). Registration links below.

You can offer the programs as retreats, one-on-one coaching OR team sessions even. Keeping the Conversation Going - 4 Strategies
The impact and insights created by the coaching process extend well beyond the time you have together in a room. 
There are a variety of different strategies and ways to keep the insights happening, beyond a client's field work/accountability commitments

Consider these ways as you go to design your next program:
#1  -  Assigning Peer Partners - Peer partners may meet between each conversation to discuss - what they are learning, what they are applying and/or what they are changing in terms of their actions and behaviors.

#2 - Setting up a Mighty Network to keep the conversation going - for many years Facebook Communities and Groups have been a great go-to. Now there is an additional platform which offers just as much, and possibly more - Mighty Networks. You may have already joined us inside the Conversation Sparker Zone at Mighty Networks for ongoing dialogue.

For many of the cohorts I work with, they are able to connect via a "SECRET" Cohort group so it remains private and unsearchable from the external world. I've noticed that many groups use this regularly to really keep each other updated regarding resources and other ideas.

#3 - Low Tech, Old Fashioned email - I also would say reverting back to old-fashioned email once in a while is also really good. More people may be apt to open that up in their inbox, rather than going into another network. Is there something more automated you can set up in your email service provider? Years ago in my 90 Day Biz Success Group Coaching work, clients really enjoyed having three times a week emails arrive in their inbox with quotes and other ideas.

#4 - One-on-ones with you - Clients continue to appreciate the deep dive of a 1-1 coaching conversation. Can you incorporate short 1-1 coaching calls with you on a bi-weekly or monthly basis?


Questions to consider
  • What are you thinking about adding to keep the conversation going?
  • What questions or prompts will keep things moving? (Write it down or create a brief mindmap around possible ideas - you'll find it useful to keep the process moving for yourself)
  • What else might help support continued focus on the part of your clients?

This program explores the exciting terrain of virtual facilitation. Whether you plan on running webinars, virtual retreats or virtual team sessions, this program explores key skills for virtual facilitation excellence, designing for engagement in mind, and leading interactive calls. Content rich, we also model different practices and you are invited to lead an opener or closer for us.
The program is approved for 8.5 CCEs with the ICF including 5.5. hours of core competencies.
