Copley Society of Art presents Perspectives: Art from MFA Staff, a juried exhibit that asks MFA staff members to interpret the theme of "Perspectives" through their work. Through their artwork the featured staff members take the given theme and run. Some take a literal approach using photography to capture a new perspective on a landscape or figure, others take a leap and put forward new conceptual perspectives. In the event that a piece of art sells, all the proceeds go toward the artist. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday and Monday by appointment. Copley Society of Art is located at 158 Newbury Street, Boston, MA. For more information, please visit here. | |

Now Showing at Armenian Museum of America: Gandzaran!
Notable Selections from Our Collection Armenian fine art historically focused on illuminations, miniatures, and other pious objects, the most significant of which were secured and hidden in the gandzaran (գանձարան), or treasury, of a monastery.
Drawing from the Museum’s vaults — our own gandzaran — this exhibit showcases the development of Armenian art in the 20th and 21st centuries, from its origins in religious motifs to the Soviet period and its continuous reinterpretation among contemporary artists around the world.
We hope it gives visitors a glimpse of the range and complexity of the Museum’s modern and contemporary art collection.
Notable artists featured are Jack Kevorkian, Minas Avetisyan, and Martiros Sarian.
The Armenian Museum of America is located at 65 Main St. Watertown, MA.
Thurs. to Sun. from 12 to 6 p.m.
The exhibition will run through August 4, 2024.
