“‘Maybe Christmas,’ he thought, ‘does not come from a store. Maybe Christmas ... perhaps ... means a little bit more!’”

— Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

This week wraps up our 2nd annual Shop Grand Lake Holiday Experience, and what an incredible season it has been! Over the past few weeks, we’ve had an absolute blast giving away cash prizes and celebrating our 33 participating merchants and our amazing sponsors who made it all possible.

We’ll close out the campaign this Friday at the Grand Finale, joining the City of Grove for the annual Lights on Grove celebration—where we’ll award $10,000 in cash to lucky local shoppers!

Festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. with live music from Porter Crossing. At 6 p.m., the Grove Choirs will take the stage, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree. Then the Chamber takes over—and the giveaways begin!

Bring your tickets, bundle up, and get ready for a festive night in the heart of downtown Grove.

December is also packed with opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow businesses. Explore upcoming events on our community calendar: business.groveok.org/community-calendar.

See you Friday in the downtown square!

Have a wonderful week,

~ Amanda

2025 LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE

Grand Marshal Sam Williams

The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce (GACC) is pleased to announce Sam Williams with the Grand Lake Sports Center as the 2025 GACC Christmas Parade Grand Marshal. The Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 6 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is Peace, Love, and Holiday Lights.

The parade route will begin on Abby Lane, which is directly to the south of Harps, head down Main Street to 3rd S Street and conclude at Cheapo Depo. Families can choose any location along the route to experience a perfect view enjoying familiar holiday songs, colorful floats, marching bands and much more.

“We are so pleased to honor Sam as our Grand Marshal this year. He was recently honored as the GACC Be a Champion Award Winner at our annual gala banquet. We are grateful for his commitment to the lake region and the impact that generations of his family have had on the lake region,” stated GACC Executive Vice President Connie King.

Through Sam’s leadership, the Grand Lake Sports Center is known for knowledgeable customer service and a gathering place just to have a good time. Sam Williams is known for finding what the customer needs to get them back on the water or the range. The Sports Center brings families together, and Sam gives back extensively to this community through so many programs. Sam lives his daily motto of trying to be a testament for others. Sam, with his endearing smile, is an endless resource when it comes to Grand Lake and his love and dedication for this community is unending.

Parade registration is $30 per entry. There will be two categories for awards. Participants can choose the best use of lights or best theme during registration. Registrations will not be accepted on the day of the parade. 99.3 FM The Bridge and the GACC will team up to provide a live broadcast of the parade with commentary directly in front of the Community Center.

Grove Area Chamber of Commerce board members and Chamber Ambassadors will be on hand to help stage the parade this year. For more information, contact the GACC at 918-786-9079.
