“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader.” - DOLLY PARTON

We are officially back to school around the lake region and schedules and structure are definitely back in full force. Please join us in sending good wishes to all the area educators, administrators, students, coaches, and families as everyone works together for the betterment of all the communities in and around the lake.

As September rolls around, use the next few weeks to grab your school gear and get those windows and signs ready to cheer on your favorite teams. Let’s see your spirit!

September is also the Chamber’s fundraising golf tournament. Join us on Friday, September 19th at Patricia Island for this exciting event. We have a few spots left for teams. Hole sponsorships are $100. Proceeds from this fall event assist in the Chamber in activities related to economic development, workforce development, operation expenses, etc. We appreciate your continued support of the Grove Area Chamber.

If you are participating in the fall open house on September 19-20, we need your information for the flyer as soon as possible. We will celebrate that weekend and then begin rolling out the campaign for Shop Grand Lake, our holiday shopping experience. This campaign had an impressive 42,000 tickets out last year that shoppers earn for every $25 dollars spent at a participating merchant. We are putting the final touches on the information for 2025. Who’s ready to win their share of $10,000 cash? It will pay to shop locally for the holidays! Watch for more details coming soon.

Have a great week!

~ Amanda
