If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

Thursday, April 2nd, the Grove Area Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting for OUR HOUSE BBQ Co. located beside Hilltop Inn & Suites. Melisa and Tony Aebi opened the new BBQ restaurant in January, have a great team, and are excited about the upcoming busy season! They believe in "truth" behind their food, serving perfectly smoked meats and made-from-scratch, in-house sides and sauces. They offer specials such as Reuben Thursday and ribs on Friday and Saturday. At Our House they strive for every guest to have a top-notch experience. GRAND LAKE DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Tuesday, April 7th, the Grove Area Chamber Legislative Committee visited the Oklahoma State Capitol. The group was introduced in the House and Senate chambers and thanked by Representatives West and Senator Woods for being there and representing the Grand Lake Region. Attendees enjoyed a casual lunch and had the opportunity to visit with the legislators, as well as Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell. Important updates were shared on transportation projects through 2028, along with discussions on the state budget, education, childcare, and healthcare. Thank you to our legislators and to everyone that attended.
