Your Chamber @ Work

“No matter how good you get, you can always get better - and that’s the exciting part.” - Tiger Woods

Spring has arrived and Grand Lake is full of fishing, car and boat cruises, golfing, shopping, exploring, and so much more. We have loved meeting people from all over the country the past few weeks as some early fishing tournaments have brought large groups into our region.

There are a lot of opportunities to participate in Grove Area Chamber of Commerce (GACC) promotions and activities. Sponsorships for Toes in the Grand are available as well as ad space in the new 2025/2026 Vacation and Relocation guide. We will be increasing our distribution reach into new marketing segments, and we hope you will consider advertising in the GACC Guide. If you have not received information about advertising space, please email me for a packet. (amandadavis@groveareachamber.com). We are working on final layouts and updated content for the new guide. If you do want to place an ad, we need to hear from you this week.

Thank you to the many members that have renewed their membership in the first quarter of 2024. We’ve added numerous new members and are very excited for a strong start to the new year. If you’ve considered joining the GACC, now is the time to act so you will be included in the new GACC guide directory. The last day to confirm membership for the guide directory is Friday, April 18th. Let’s get you signed up today!

Thank you to the legislative group that joined us for the annual Grove & Grand Lake Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol. We had a great day and were joined by numerous legislators that gave important updates for the lake region. Make plans to join us next time. If you are interested in serving on the legislative committee, please let us know.

Our retail committee will meet on Tuesday, April 15th at the Chamber office at 8:30 a.m. We will be finalizing details for a new shopping campaign aimed at reaching visitors while they are in town for fishing tournaments. We will be working with the City of Grove’s Tourism Bureau on a few large events that will bring thousands of non-locals into our community. Please join us for this important roundtable discussion as we gear up for the season.

Have a fantastic week and keep living the grand life.
