Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home is recognizing Hometown Heroes each month and would like your help with nominations. The person chosen will have their story shared on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page, be recognized with a ceremony, and receive a token of appreciation. Ribbon Cutting
Grove Area Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors gathered for a ribbon cutting at Honey Creek BBQ on Friday, March 13. Honey Creek BBQ is located in the Cherokee Queen Motel at 61991 East 315 Road in Grove and is owned and operated by Terry and Carolyn Eskew who also own and manage The Parrot Steakhouse & Grill. The meat selection at Honey Creek BBQ includes delicious pulled pork, brisket, chicken, sausage, hot links and more – plus they now offer their own bottled BBQ sauce. They are open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11 – 8 and Friday and Saturday from 11 – 9. (Closed on Wednesdays.) They also offer catering services.

Chamber Connection Luncheon
The Chamber Connection luncheon was held Thursday, March 12 at the Grove Community Center. Richard Lippitt with Farmers Insurance of Grove and Grand Lake - The Richard Lippitt Agency sponsored lunch which was catered by Mulligans.

Cari Williams, Vice-President of Grand Lake Watershed Alliance Foundation was the guest speaker. Cari extended an invitation to all in attendance to become a stakeholder in the foundation’s mission. Over the next two years, under a grant from the US Bureau of Reclamation, administered through GRDA and awarded to the Grand Lake Watershed Alliance, a group of vested stakeholders will be engaged in 7 different tasks. Monthly meetings will be held for the first six months, then bi-monthly thereafter unless circumstances arise that dictate more frequent meetings. Those involved will be engaged in email decision making and in-person focus groups and annual meetings. Contact Cari Williams at 918-541-6112 for additional information.
