Yard of the Month
CONGRATULATIONS
to  Ivan  and  Barbara Devitt  for receiving the Yard of the Month award for the month of May. The goal of the Yard-of-the-Month program is to recognize the efforts of residents who take pride in their home and landscaping, inspiring others to do the same. Nominations for the June Yard of the Month can be submitted to the Chamber before June 30. Yard of the Month is a program of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee and the Grove Garden Club. On hand to present the sign to Ivan and Barbara with their visiting daughter Sherry Devitt Hilton  was  Donnie Crain , president of Grove Area Chamber of Commerce;  Louise Templin , Grove Garden Club; and  Steve Williams , Chairman of the Beautification Committee.
Ribbon Cutting
Staff and ambassadors of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce gathered for a ribbon cutting for new Chamber member Katelyn Threet with The Hott Spott at their new location at 1620 S. Main St. in Grove on Friday, June 21. The Hott Spott allows for a great tanning experience and offer UVA and UVB beds with the rooms themed after tropical locations including Tahiti, Bora Bora, Morocco, Fiji, Bahama, and Rain Forest. Tahiti is the UVB room for high pressure tanning with a one time cost of $15 or $75 for a month. This price also allows access to all other rooms. The rates for others are $7 for one time lay down tanning bed and $9 for stand up. Monthly rates are $35 for the lay down bed and $40 for stand up. Also featured is a great selection of tanning supplies and products , free coffee and snacks for customers, and a big screen tv for child entertainment. Nails to come in the future.
Business After Hours
Thank you to  First National Bank  for hosting the June Business After Hours last Thursday evening. Excellent food and drink provided by  Mulligans  was enjoyed by all that attended. An awesome door prize - an Apple watch - was won by Cassie Rentfro with  The Cole Organization . The event was well attended and was an amazing networking opportunity as well as a great opportunity for the hosts to showcase the bank. Great conversation – great food – and a great way to end the workday! We love our members!
