Your Chamber @ Work

Thank you to the many members that participated in the annual Christmas Open House

weekend. We have had great response from many that took advantage of the shopping

weekend, and we met people from all over the region. The best part of it all, we have nearly 40,000 tickets that are out at participating merchants for Shop Grand Lake. So, what happens now?

We will begin doing secret Santa CASH drawings today! We will select four lucky locations and will draw one ticket from each business. Then, we will post all four lucky tickets on the Grove Area Chamber Facebook page and on the window at the Chamber office (111 West 3rd Street). Those shoppers will have 24 hours to claim their ticket number for a chance at $100, $150, $200, or $250 cash for our Sparkle & Shine Weekly Giveaways.

After today, the remaining Wednesday drawings will happen on November 20, November 27, and December 4. Once all the drawings are held, we will get the numbers posted. Be sure to follow our Facebook page! @groveareachamber

The Grand Finale Celebration will be the final and most exciting drawing for $10,000 CASH! This will take place on Friday, December 6th in downtown Grove, Oklahoma. In conjunction with the Lights on Grove event and the launch of the new Ron Lay Downtown Lights, someone will leave with a nice cash award…all for shopping Grand Lake during the holiday season.

If you are a business and want to participate and distribute tickets, call us today. It’s not too late to get a box, tickets, and signage! We have 42 boxes out and it’s exciting hearing the feedback. We appreciate our sponsors and look forward to the coming weeks ahead.

As always, thank you for your support of our organization. We’ve had a busy program of work for 2024, and we are eager to share some new initiatives with you for 2025.

Have a great week & go shopping for your tickets! #ShopGrandLake

TRIAD EYE INSTITUTE

Triad Eye Institute is proud to announce the beginning of the annual Frame it Forward campaign. Now through November 22, eyeglasses can be dropped off at any Triad Eye location, including the Grove clinic and surgery center at 63223 E Hwy 10, just east of Shundi Rd. Lions Club experts will repair and refurbish the glasses and then distribute them to those in need. Frame it Forward has become an annual tradition for the Triad Eye team, and since the program’s inception six years ago, more than 7,000 pairs of glasses have been donated. The Frame it Forward event allows Triad Eye to take those very glasses and help those less fortunate who can use a great pair of eyeglasses right now...and who might not be able to afford them.

LEADERSHIP GROVE

Education Day

Leadership Grove Education Day kicked off at Northeast Tech in Afton on Tuesday with an exciting tour of the school's facilities and programs. Participants had the opportunity to explore various departments, including healthcare, the STEM program (where the class is actually building a real airplane), the CDL simulator, and the heavy equipment program. After touring Northeast Tech and enjoying a great lunch in their cafeteria, the group headed back to Grove to tour the Performing Arts Center and enjoyed a roundtable discussion with Superintendent Pat Dodson and each of the principals of the various schools. The event aimed to provide the Leadership group with a firsthand look at the educational opportunities available to the community. This initiative not only showcased the innovative programs at Northeast Tech and Grove Public Schools but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among attendees. Overall, Leadership Grove Education Day was a fantastic way to promote education and career pathways offered in our area while highlighting the importance of leadership skills in today's workforce.
