American Pickers Coming to NE Oklahoma
Mike and Frank will be coming to Northeast Oklahoma in December and are looking for leads throughout the area - specifically interesting characters with interesting items - lots of interesting items!

Please note that Mike and Frank only pick private collections -
so no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses,

Ribbon Cuttings
Chamber Ambassadors and staff gathered at a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 17 for new Chamber member Whitney Art Gallery, located at 33 W. 4th in Grove. We are very happy to welcome them to the Grove Springs Cultural Art District! 
A ribbon cutting was held for new Chamber member GB Herbal Wellness on Thursday, October 18 located at 63841 E. 290 Rd. by the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors. 
The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors and staff gathered at  Goodfella's Pizzeria with owner  Bobby Hillegass  and store manager Jacob Mosby to celebrate their new location
at 8 W. 3rd in Grove.

Business After Hours is a great way to showcase your business as well as the perfect opportunity for networking and meeting new people. Honey Creek Outdoors is a full line outdoor store, including archery pro shop, indoor archery range, fishing, and hunting.
Yard of the Month

Congrats to Ron & Terry Cash for securing the last Yard of the Month win for 2018. With mums and lantana in full bloom as well as numerous other plant species, their yard is beautifully hopping with fall colors. Their efforts at "Making a Difference" are very much appreciated.

SHANGRI-LA FALL FESTIVAL
Saturday, October 27, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. - Festival grounds are adjacent to Monkey Island Fire Department. Food, beverages, a bonfire, s'mores, bounce houses, games, a "best costume contest", live music by "No Apparent Reason", and a spooky hayride through the Shangri-La Woods. No admission charge. OSHA 10 HOUR - FOR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
These OSHA Training Courses consist of 10 hours of classroom lecture over a two day period. This training is intended for the entry-level worker with general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards, as well as, information about their rights and employer responsibilities. Next classes:
October 30 & Nov 1/November 7 & 8/November 14 & 15/November 26 & 27

CHEROKEE HERITAGE DAYS - HAR-BER VILLAGE MUSEUM
Experience the culture of the Cherokee Nation on November 2 and 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Cherokee Heritage Days. This is a day of cultural enrichment and fun. Crafts, food, music, games and more will be part of the days’ festivities. To honor the heritage of ALL the tribes in this area, Har-Ber Village admission will be free on Saturday to anyone presenting his or her tribal ID. Friday is geared specifically toward schools; Saturday, the public and scout groups.
