Your Chamber @ Work

“What if today, we were just grateful for everything?” -Charlie Brown

In the season of thanksgiving, there are things all around us in which to be grateful for. As the seasons change, find something today to celebrate with those in your life as we focus on family, joy, and thankfulness.

As we move into week two of Shop Grand Lake, we have many things to celebrate. There are 48 (FORTY-EIGHT) boxes out with a total of 41,000 tickets being distributed. We honestly are hopeful to have to reprint more tickets. What a great problem to have! Thank you to the participating merchants, sponsors, and shoppers for embracing this new program. We are grateful for each of you. The road to December 6th at the Grand Finale Celebration is shaping up to be ginormous. We hope you have it on your calendar and will join us with tickets in hand for your chance at $10,000 cash.

We celebrated one lucky shopper this past week with a $250 cash payout during our Sparkle & Shine Weekly Giveaways. We will be out again today to surprise 4 merchants and grab a ticket from their box to award $250, $200, $150, and $100 to shoppers. Because we only had one ticket claimed in week one, we will do an additional 3 drawings this week for $200, $150, and $100. A special thank you to The Monkey Buzz for sponsoring week one and to Shangri-La for sponsoring week two. It pays to Shop Grand Lake!

We are having a blast with the Leadership Grove team! If you have not experienced this

program, make plans to join us for the next group (2025-2026). Continue to watch our Facebook page for updates on weekly classes. There are 21 members and it’s a great group that will have a positive impact on future leadership positions within our region.

In the weeks ahead, our Chamber team will be rolling out a new operating system called Growth Zone. There are some incredible benefits for our members and a brand new, updated website (www.groveok.org) will be launched in conjunction with this new system. We will be scheduling overviews in person and via zoom to help you establish your personal log-in and get you set up. We know you will love it as much as we do! A super big thank you to Connie and Carol for championing through the past eleven weeks of training and onboarding. We are almost to the finish line!

There are programs in place for all types of businesses with more to come in 2025. We

encourage you to get involved as the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce continues to expand. If you aren’t sure where you best fit, come see us and let us go over all the opportunities available. We have six weeks left to go in 2024. Today is the perfect time to get onboard. Next year is going to be a time of exciting growth, come join us!

Triad Eye Institute is proud to announce the beginning of the annual Frame it Forward campaign. Now through November 22, eyeglasses can be dropped off at any Triad Eye location, including the Grove clinic and surgery center at 63223 E Hwy 10, just east of Shundi Rd. Lions Club experts will repair and refurbish the glasses and then distribute them to those in need. Frame it Forward has become an annual tradition for the Triad Eye team, and since the program’s inception six years ago, more than 7,000 pairs of glasses have been donated. The Frame it Forward event allows Triad Eye to take those very glasses and help those less fortunate who can use a great pair of eyeglasses right now...and who might not be able to afford them.
