October 1, 2025

Fall is in the air, and with it comes a sense of warmth and beauty. The leaves are transforming into shades of gold, crimson, and amber, reminding us to pause and enjoy the simple wonders of the season. Crisp mornings give way to cozy evenings—perfect for curling up with a good book, sharing a homemade meal, or gathering with loved ones around the table. The scent of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin lingers everywhere, whether in a warm latte, a freshly baked pie, or a favorite autumn recipe. Fall invites us to slow down, savor comfort, and embrace the small joys that make this season so special.

Shop Grand Lake Holiday Shopping Experience packets are on their way! This exciting initiative is designed to boost foot traffic and encourage local shopping. Even if you don’t sell retail, you can still participate as a sponsor and support the event. Over $14,000 in cash prizes will be given out across four weeks. Shoppers earn a numbered ticket for every $25 spent with participating merchants, and those tickets will be entered into drawings throughout November. The Grand Finale drawings will take place Friday, December 5th during Lights on Grove. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to showcase your business—reach out to us with any questions.

Finally, mark your calendars for the State of the Region Luncheon on Wednesday, October 9th at Har-Ber Village. We’re excited to welcome Ken Busby, Executive Director and CEO of the Route 66 Alliance, as our featured speaker. With the 100th anniversary of historic Route 66 approaching in 2026, now is the time to start preparing for the influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors. Ken will provide insight on what’s happening at the regional, state, and national levels. Tickets are $20 per person, and reservations are required.

Thank you for your continued support of the Grove Area Chamber. We appreciate you.

Make it a great week,
