RIBBON CUTTING

Patchwork Pelican Fabric & Yarn

The Grove Area Chamber Ambassadors held a Ribbon Cutting Thursday, October 3rd, for Patchwork Pelican Fabric and Yarn. Debbie Chapman originally was the entrepreneur of Craft Boutique of Grand Lake. After having many customers ask her for fabric, and also attending a Craft Alliance trade show where they were showing all things fiber, Debbie realized that "Fiber Art is where it's at"! She has converted and expanded the craft shop into a beautiful quilting, knitting, and all things with thread shop. She has plenty of work space and is offering many types of classes. Check out the new website www.patchworkpelican.com for information and to register for classes! Judi Barber, with the Grand Area Creative Alliance, also presented an appreciation award to Debbie for her support of creativity in our community.

Attending the ribbon cutting: Chamber President Amanda Davis; Wanda Christ, Mark Lee - Shelter Insurance; Gina Clark, Grand Lake Family YMCA; cutting the ribbon Debbie Chapman; Karen Gross, Patchwork Pelican; Mina Herren Hale, Grand Lake Newcomers Club; Nick Bowers, Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative; Sharon Morton, Grand Lake Newcomers Club; Jay Alexander, Grand Savings Bank; Cassie Brown, Local Bank; Judi Barber, GA Creative Alliance; and Executive Vice President Connie King.
