Dear Grove School Families, Faculty, and Staff,
In light of the ongoing Line Fire, associated evacuations, and hazardous air quality in the region, the Grove School will be CLOSED for all students and staff on Monday, September 9.
Our hearts ache for all of those affected by the fire, including the Grove families who have been directly impacted. The safety of our students, and, thereby, their families and communities is the Grove School's top priority, as we continue to monitor the Line Fire and its effects. Please reach out to us if we can provide any support at this time. You may also find these resources from NEA, Cal Fire, CACC, the California Disaster Center of use during this time of loss.
The Grove School will inform their community by 5pm on Monday if the closure will be extended. Further updates will be given as we receive additional information. Please again spread the word and check that your Aeries contact information is up to date. Information about recovery of instructional time/school days due to closures will be shared as soon as possible, if such recovery is deemed necessary.
We encourage you to check our website (www.thegroveschool.org) and/or our social media accounts for updates: Facebook and Instagram.
For more immediate information regarding the fire and evacuations, please follow the latest updates from local authorities:
Holding you in our thoughts,
Dr. Sweezey and Mel
